 Classmate Blog Critique

One blog that has stood out to me in this class is Lacy's blog. Her blog is very cohesive and aesthetically pleasing, from the main header photos of her and her fiancé to the photo icons for each of her assignments. Throughout this past semester, I've often looked at Lacy's blog to find inspiration for my own.

What I find the most engaging about Lacy's blog is her proficient use of visuals within each of her posts. By simply looking at her posts from the home page, I was able to immediately comprehend exactly what the post would contain just from the initial photo cover. She does not hesitate to use multiple pictures inside each post to help the viewer better understand each story that she tells.

In addition, Lacy provides a number of links within her blog posts to maximize the amount of information that the viewer is digesting and leave no stone unturned. She makes the most out of each post she makes in regard to external videos and websites. She also has a very clear and concise way of writing that makes details easy to understand.

One of my favorite posts from Lacy's blog is her "Misinformation and Disinformation on Social Media" post. In this post, she relays the story of Princess Catherine's media coverage in a way that shows how harmful misinformation on digital platforms can be. This approach felt very original to me, and relating the assignment prompt back to a real-life event was extremely helpful. She also provides multiple links from various sources throughout the post in order to show Princess Catherine's press news from different perspectives.

Ultimately, I don't have any constructive criticism for Lacy's blog. Her posts are very well-thought-out, and they provide all of the information that the reader wants and needs. She has a great eye for finding and writing captivating stories and knows how to keep the audience engaged.
