Lefty's Burger Announced as Finalist for Arkansas's Best Burger Contest

Magnolia, Arkansas's very own restaurant, Lefty's on the Square, has made it to the final round of the Arkansas's Best Burger Contest. Led by the Arkansas Beef Council, this is the first year the contest has been held. The council split the state into five different regions and then selected two burgers from each region. Lefty's "1921 Burger" was one of the selections in the third region.

Opened just last year, Lefty's has made a name for itself as a speakeasy-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar in Magnolia. Their famous "1921 Burger" features aged cheddar, candied bacon, aioli, arugula, pickled onions, and the restaurant's signature pickles. It costs $20 and is served with a side of house fries.

Before the end of October, the winner of the Best Burger Contest will be announced. Each finalist will be assessed by an anonymous panel of judges who will visit each restaurant within the coming weeks. The goal that the Arkansas Beef Council plans to achieve through this contest is to amplify the image of beef and strengthen the cattle industry through promotion, research, and market development. 

In an article from Magnolia Reporter, Beef Council Administrator Tillman Treat states, "With more than 2,400 nominations submitted from across the state, the competition highlights the passion and pride Arkansans have for their local burger joints and the quality beef they serve."

Lefty's expresses their gratitude for being selected from such a large number of nominations on a recent Facebook post, stating, "We love love love our followers and supporters!"

It is a great honor for a small town such as Magnolia to be home to one of the top ten best burgers in Arkansas. Having a burger in the top ten burgers of Arkansas helps put our community on the map and showcase some of the amazing feats that we have to offer!
