Billboard names Taylor Swift as the Second Greatest Pop Star of the 21st Century

In a Billboard list of the 25 "Greatest Pop Stars of the 21st Century," Taylor Swift has been named number two in a divisive decision. Many Swifties are disappointed in these results, believing that Taylor Swift should have been in the first place because of her numerous accolades. The topic has been trending on X for the past few days, where the Swifties and the Beyhive have been arguing, seeing as Beyoncé is projected to earn the number one spot.

Taylor Swift released her debut album in 2006, self-titled Taylor Swift, at the age of 16. From there, her career took off as a singer-songwriter and performer. She has since traversed from being a country-pop artist to being a wildly successful world-famous pop star. 

Her Eras Tour alone has become a cultural phenomenon, with most shows being sold out within minutes. The tour has been going on for over a year now and features 152 three-hour-long shows. The tour film is the highest-grossing concert film of all time, earning over $261 million (Variety). From friendship bracelets to surprise songs, the Eras Tour has become one of the biggest highlights of Taylor's career.
